Welcome to my Intro to Star Battles! Star Battles are a great puzzle type - fascinating logical complexity coming from really simple rules. Here, I've made a short series of puzzles which you can use to learn to play.
As I said, the rules are simple; there are just two of them:
1. As you see below, every row, cell and region (the groups of cells within the darker borders) needs to have exactly one star in it. Pay attention, because some puzzles want two or even more stars in every row, column and region.
2. If a cell contains a star, none of the 8 cells adjacent to it orthogonally or diagonally can also contain stars.
